Lambert took to social media Monday evening to announce a Music for Mutts concert benefitting MuttNation Foundation, which she founded alongside her mom, Bev, in 2009 to ensure as many homeless dogs as possible would find safe and happy homes. The concert will take place October 5 at Nashville’s Ascend Amphitheater and feature a performance from Lambert alongside musical “friends,” who will be announced at a later date.
In addition to shining a light on the happiness rescue animals can bring into a home, the show will also celebrate MuttNation Foundation’s 15th Anniversary. To date, the foundation has raised a cumulative $10 million through various campaigns and generous donors.
“I wanted to do something special to celebrate MuttNation’s 15th anniversary and thought sharing an evening of great music with some great friends that will also feature lots of mutts would be about as much fun as anything I could imagine,” Lambert said in a statement. “We’ll have an adoption event and lots of other activities — and just make it a big party. I hope everyone will come out and party with us.”
General ticket sales begin Friday May 10 at 10am CT and can be found here. For more information on MuttNation foundation, visit www.muttnation.com.
