The success of Walker Hayes’ viral hit, “Fancy Like,” has not only increased the consumption of his music, but also the consumption of Applebees’ Bourbon Streets steaks and Oreo shakes around across the nation…. including Walker’s household.

“We have so many gift cards, and we feel guilty buying food from somewhere else, but I’m like, ‘We can eat here for free,’” Walker told Audacy’s Gunner and Cheyenne of the royal treatment he’s received from the restaurant chain since the release of the song.
“I hope it doesn’t come to that, but we might need a break in a minute. I’ve had at least 100 Oreo shakes in like, the last 70 days. I’m gettin’ sick off these things, but they are good!”
Can we get a world record rep up in here? That’s gotta be a broken record of some sort!
Walker nearing a possible break from Applebees could be the perfect time for Wendy’s, another chain mentioned in the song, to swoop in… but according to Walker, they’ve had nothin’ for him.
“I got nothing from Wendy’s, man. I’m a little bit bitter about it,” Walker said, playfully. “I’ve been a Frosty fan my whole life, and I have always dipped my fries in it and I thought for sure they would at least send me a gift card, but no.”
Alright, Wendy… what are you waiting for? If Hayes can stomach 100 Oreo shakes in 70 days, there’s no telling what kind of magic he could pull off with a Frosty!
“They better be nice to me,” Walker said. “Or I’ll take ‘em out the song… we’ll go to Taco Bell! I love Taco Bell.”
