Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski troll Aaron Rodgers during 'The Match'

As if Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski beating Rodgers in the NFC Championship last year was not enough, the two were ganging up on him again in “The Match.”

The Bucs tight end called into Tuesday’s “charity golf event which featured Brady and Phil Mickelson facing off against Rodgers and Bryson DeChambeau.

The foursome were finishing up a hole when Gronkowski was phoned into the broadcast to chat with his quarterback and the two began joking with each other if they are ready for the season.

“I’m studying my competition,” Brady told Gronkowski. “I’m 30 yards away from Aaron, who is the leader of the Packers … I think.”

The end was a shot at the uncertainty that has surrounded the Packers quarterback this offseason, with many reports and rumors that the reigning NFL MVP may not return to Green Bay.

Rodgers seemed amused, though, and was even chuckling at the comment.

Of course, Gronkowski made sure to get his digs in at Rodgers, too.

“You’re studying the wrong guy,” Gronkowski said. “Aaron looks more lazy now than I did in retirement.”

Rodgers asked Gronkowski what he said and the Bucs tight end seemed to not realize the Packers quarterback was on the line.

Rodgers had some fun with Gronkowski, too, asking him if he was doing “calves, curls, cardio” to get ready for Spring Break 2022.
