Rob Gronkowski Wants to Face 'Wimp' Mojo Rawley in WWE Ring

(WEEI) Rob Gronkowski’s big announcement last week was about his partnership with CBDMEDIC and Perry Antelman but that doesn’t mean a future in wrestling is out of the question.

Ever since the 30-year-old retired Patriots tight end hopped in the WWE ring at Wrestlemania last January, many have speculated a potential wrestling future for Gronkowski.

Well, TMZ caught up with “No. 1 businessman” Gronkowski and when he was asked if WWE could be in his future, he mentioned Mojo Rawley as an inspiration.

“Yeah, my friend’s in there, and he’s a little wimp,” Gronkowski said. “So, I got to go in that ring and whoop his ass.”

Coincidentally, Mojo Rawley was the one who Gronkowski helped pick up a win at Wrestlemania last year, but now the former NFL star wants a piece of the action.

He certainly has the trash talk made for WWE down pat, and Gronkowski absolutely has the personality to shine as a wrestling star.

Although, Gronkowski said at his CBD announcement he would not want to do it full-time.

"With wrestling, I don’t feel like I would be a full-time wrestler. But there is one thing I’m down for, and that’s to do, like, one crazy match," he said. "Like, practice it for a little bit, and go in, like, during a Royal Rumble, and just go out there. I got my friend in WWE, practice it. Do a full-on WWE match. I’m not saying when. Maybe like, five years. I got the rest of my life to do that, but I’m saying I’ve always dreamed about doing that, just one time, going in there and just going full out. So, that may be a possibility, like one time down the road.”

Perhaps that one crazy match will come against Mojo Rawley. We'll just have to sit back and wait.
