The good news for Gordon Hayward was that it was the other ankle.
The bad? It didn't look good.
With just more than three minutes left in what would be a 109-101 Game 1 win for the Celtics over the Sixers Gordon Hayward got tangled up with Joel Embiid going up for a rebound.
The Celts' forward proceeded to land on teammate Daniel Theis' foot, rolling his right ankle. He would exit the game and not return, with the team classifying the injury as a sprained ankle. According to ESPN he will undergo an MRI on the injury Monday night.
Hayward, of course, missed his entire first season with the Celtics after suffering a gruesome injury to his left ankle.
Before suffering the ankle injury Hayward played 34 minutes, going 5-for-13 from the field while collecting five rounds.
