Apparently it's going to happen...

After a rumor surfaced a few weeks ago about a golf match involving Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Tom Brady and Peyton Manning, there wasn't any follow up on it actually happening -- until Wednesday.

According to the Action Network's Darren Rovell, the match is in its final planning stages and will take place some time between May 15 and May 24. It will air on TNT and the proceeds will benefit multiple charities, including COVID-19 relief.

The report says the match is believed to be Woods/Brady vs. Mickelson/Manning and will be called “The Match: Champions for Charity.”

A course has not yet been finalized, but it could be Medalist Golf Club in Hobe Sound, Florida where Woods is a member.

Woods and Mickelson had a head-to-head match in Nov. of 2018 where Mickelson won in a playoff, but adding Brady and Manning gives it a welcomed twist.
