Twenty One Pilots Talk Life on the Road and Preparing for a Baby

Backstage at KROQ's 'Almost Acoustic Christmas'

The weekend Twenty One Pilots closed out night two of KROQ's Almost Acoustic Christmas happening in Anaheim, California, but first the duo joined hosts Stryker and Klein to talk about their relentless touring schedule and Tyler Joseph's baby on the way.

New music will eventually be coming, but first a child. The band announced on stage earlier this year that Joseph's wife Jenna is pregnant with a baby girl, and Tyler admits he's a little nervous.

"I'm nervous yeah, my wife is pregnant, but I'm so excited," he lights up. "My dad is just looking forward to watching me be the dad now."

"I was a frustrating child in many ways. Every time, even when I was young, he would say 'you wait till you have a kid and you've gotta look at him straight in the face.' So he's excited to watch me kind of figure out everything he had to figure out."

When the baby does arrive, what will we call Josh Dun? "Hey man, I'm happy to be Uncle Josh," he smiles. "I'll give my input, but I'm not ready to mess up a kid," he laughs.
