The Patriots apparently will need to find another positional coach this offseason.
According to Christian Fauria on Ordway, Merloni & Fauria, long-time Patriots offensive line coach Dante Scarnecchia has retired.
Scarnecchia will turn 72 years old next month and has been coaching in the NFL since 1982. He retired for two years (2014-15) and came back in the 2016 season. He's regarded as one of the best assistant coaches in the entire NFL.
Fauria is also hearing his replacement will be an in-house hire.
