WWE is slated to host the 38th edition of its crown jewel event, WrestleMania, this weekend at AT&T Stadium in Texas. There are 14 matches scheduled over the two nights inside Jerry World, and one of the first marquee bouts features Bianca Belair and Becky Lynch in the RAW Women's Championship.
The two superstars offered wrestling fans a preview of what's to come earlier this week, when Belair cut off some of Lynch's hair during an impromptu fight inside the ring. The makeover was done in retaliation, as Lynch wanted to cut Belair's long braid only moments beforehand. Lynch owns the RAW Women's belt, and on Saturday night, Belair will try to take it.
"I thought I had seen every trick in the book that Beck Lynch could pull out of her sleeve and try to keep me away from the title," Belair told The DA Show on Thursday. "Never thought I'd see her bring out scissors. I was just completely surprised by it. And this has been going on since August at SummerSlam. So, it should've been satisfying for the tables to turn and for me to actually cut up her hair, and try to put an end to all of these antics.
"But, as satisfying as it should've been, it's really not. Because what I really want on Saturday night against Beck Lynch is redemption... [My hair] is part of who I am, and a part of Bianca Belair. My No. 1 rule is, don't touch my hair. And I won't use my hair if you don't touch it... If she would've cut my braid, I think she knows that would've really, really, really messed me up, mentally."
