The Golden State Warriors will soon have its original championship trio of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green back on the hardwood. And at full-strength, the franchise expects to be a title contender once again.

But the Warriors' Big 3 should no longer be considered the best in the NBA, according to JR. The top spot on rankings lists belongs to the Brooklyn Nets, featuring prime superstars Kevin Durant, James Harden, and Kyrie Irving.

"You know why I like the Nets' trio better than the Lakers'? The Nets, these guys are shooters. They're facilitators," JR said during Wednesday's edition of the JR SportBrief show. "LeBron James might be one of the best basketball players of all-time -- well, I can say the same about Kevin Durant. But I can look at the Nets and say, 'Man, they shoot better than these three over there.'

"The Lakers, as a team, need to surround those guys with shooters. And they have -- they brought in guards. But in crunch-time, let's be real: if somebody needs to knock down or create a wide-open shot, are you trusting Russell Westbrook to do it? Probably not. Are you trusting Anthony Davis to do it? Probably not... With the Nets, you have three closers, three finishers..."

Brooklyn, which fell one win shy of an Eastern Conference finals appearance, are the favorites (+225) to win the 2021-22 NBA Finals, according to the William Hill Sportsbook. They'll once again be led by Durant, who averaged a team-high 34.2 points and 9.2 rebounds in 12 playoff games this summer.
