In this edition of Top-10 Stats of the Week: Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant makes team history, LeBron James would do anything to have Morant on the Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic shows the Golden State Warriors why home court isn't such an advantage, and the New York Knicks make the Lakers look like the 1998 Chicago Bulls.
52 -- Ja Morant set the Grizzlies regular-season single-game scoring record with 52 points on Monday. Not bad for a guy who also set the franchise-high scoring mark last week, with 46 points.
500 -- LeBron James produced his 500th career 30-point game over the weekend. It's the third-most career 30-point games recorded in NBA history, behind only Wilt Chamberlain (515) and Michael Jordan (562). James has 22 games left this season to pass Chamberlain for second all-time.
29 -- The Lakers suffered an ugly home loss to the New Orleans Pelicans, but no one can blame James, who scored 32 points on 57-percent shooting. The other starters combined for just 29 points on less than 36-percent shooting.
3-1 -- The Detroit Pistons began the regular season 12-45. They're 3-1 since. They had four combined wins across November and December.
20 - The Warriors shockingly blew a 21-point lead and fell at home to the Mavericks on Sunday. The last time they lost in regulation after leading by more than 20 points in a regular season game was back in 2007.
11 -- Luka Doncic finished with 11 made free throws in the Mavericks' win inside Golden State's building. Pretty impressive, considering the fact that two-time league MVP Steph Curry finished with just two made free throws.
1-2 -- The Phoenix Suns are 48-10 with veteran guard Chris Paul on the court this season. Without him, they're 1-2.
2-12 - The Knicks are a ghastly 2-12 over the past month. Hard to believe this team began the season with five wins in six games.
16 -- Denver Nuggets star center Nikola Jokic recorded his 16th triple-double of the season on Saturday. NBA legend Hakeem Olajuwon -- another all-world center known for all his all-around game -- had 14 triple-doubles for his entire career.
5th -- In the Toronto Raptors' blowout win over the Brooklyn Nets on Monday, Scottie Barnes became just the fifth rookie in NBA history to record 25 points, 15 rebounds, and five steals in a game. He joined Shaquille O'Neal (1993), Ron Harper (1987), Ron Lee (1977), and John Drew (1974).
