Fans of 'Wheel of Fortune' don't hesitate when it comes to calling out contestants when they answer riddles and puzzles incorrectly.
While the show has seen its fair share of controversial and awkward on-air moments, a report from the New York Post notes that the latest viral scenario was the show’s “dumbest moment ever.”
“Frozen” actor Josh Gad posted the moment on Twitter with the caption: “God help us all.”
During one of the "phrase" puzzles on Monday's episode, three contestants took a total of eight turns and ten attempts to solve the puzzle: “Another feather _n yo_r _a_.”
To viewers at home, it was obvious that the answer was: “Another feather in your cap." However, under pressure, the contestants were having a much harder time coming up with a solution.
One game player attempted to solve the puzzle three times. And each time, she was incorrect. Her answers included: “Another feather in your hat,” “Another feather in your lap,” and “Another feather in your map.” The other two contestants seemed doomed from the beginning as they landed on "Bankrupt" and "Lose a turn."
Eventually, a third contestant correctly guessed the letter "C", which allowed him to solve the puzzle with "cap."
Obviously, some viewers were so riled up that they took to social media to vent.
“Hey if you feel like screaming at the TV in agony and want to throw something at your screen round 2 of tonight’s ‘Wheel of Fortune’ is *perfect* for you,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
While another fan joked, “‘Wheel of fortune’ was WILD today [and] yes I realize this tweet sounds like I’m 87 years old.”
Another social media user noted, “I have never been on an emotional roller coaster like this while watching ‘Wheel of Fortune.’”
The comments didn’t end there.
One fan summed it up pretty succinctly: “The dumbest two minutes in Wheel of Fortune history."
