Apple unveils digital driver's licenses partners with TSA for faster airport screenings

Apple partnering with TSA to help you get rid your physical wallet and make it entirely digital, including your driver's license or identification card.

The Cupertino, California company kicked off its renowned Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) Monday, virtually showcasing new software and hardware updates.

"To be fully free of your physical wallet, there's one more thing we need to bring to iPhone: your ID," said vice president Jennifer Bailey. "We're bringing identity cards to Apple Wallet."

In states that opt to participate in the program, residents can scan their license or ID using the iPhone's camera to create a digital copy. Apple says identification cards are encrypted and stored locally on the iPhone, using "the same hardware tec
