The Air Force is accepting name suggestions for its newest falcon mascot.
The thus-far unnamed falcon is a one-month-old female gyrfalcon and will take the place of the Air Force Academy's oldest mascot Aurora. Aurora died last October at the ripe old falcon age of 23.
Army-Navy Mascot War: Drugged goats, stolen mules
While the Academy's Cadet Wing will ultimately choose the newest mascot's name via a vote, the public has been invited to recommend names for the fluffy falcon by using the hashtag #youracademy on Twitter. Suggestions include "Fearless," "Velocity," and "Falcon McFalconface."
The vote will be held later this year.
