Everyone needs a solid roof over their head. One roofing company is ensuring needy veterans are included.
Beacon Roofing Supply, Inc. is giving away new roofs to five deserving veteran homeowners. The Beacon of Hope contest is open to all military veterans who received honorable or general discharges.
“The Beacon of Hope contest is one way we can give back to the men and women who have given so much to our country,” said Eric Swank, Beacon’s Chief Operating Officer. “It is an honor and privilege to provide a safe roof that they can be proud of and that will protect their family and their belongings.”
Now through September 20, you can nominate a U.S. veteran -- including yourself -- who is deserving of a new roof. You can enter online here, or submit an email here. Attach a photo and bio of the veteran, including their military branch and why the nominee deserves a new roof.
Ten finalists will be announced in September, and the public will get to vote for the five winners, who will be announced on Veterans Day.
