On this episode:
We celebrate the Fourth of July by highlighting a couple of artists performing on this weekend’s PBS television special, “A Capitol Fourth."
Terry Weeks served as a musician in the Air Force but took his chances on stardom, only to become a member of the legendary group The Temptations. He shares how a chance meeting at a shoe store on Hollywood Boulevard gave him the shot of a lifetime. And how his Air Force career was the perfect runway for taking off.
Country superstar Brantley Gilbert has supported the military and veterans for years. From USO tours to benefit shows he rose to fame with songs that often speak directly to service members and veterans. He shared some military memories and how a recent addition to his home is actually a tribute to all those who served. Plus we talk about; the new song "Hard Days," corona life, barbecue, guns and who is the better marksman -- Gilbert or his musician buddies, Justin Moore and Thomas Rhett?
