Execs help vets plan careers

You’ve heard it before, as you’ve been out looking for a job – it can come down to who you know.

There’s more to it, of course – but a non-profit called American Corporate Partners (ACP) is helping transitioning military veterans – by partnering them with people really worth knowing in the business world.
Timothy Cochrane of ACP says the intent is to help men and women moving from military service back to civilian life find – not just a job, but meaningful employment.

The program works by pairing veterans with corporate executives and business owners who promise to talk at length with their assigned veteran at least once a month – over the course of a year.

And it's free to participating vets.
