Kadhim Al-Waeli isn't your typical American success story. As the son of an affluent Sheikh, he sacrificed everything to lead a small band of rebels against the tyranny of Saddam Hussein. With his rebel group shattered and no country to call his own, Kadhim fled through the endless desert of Iraq into Saudi Arabia where he would go from wealthy rebel leader to refugee. This is the story of an American who put it all on the line in the name of freedom, democracy, and to restore his family name. This is Kadhim Al-Waeli and this is his VetStory.
