A newly acquired warehouse is helping Foundation For Women Warriors strengthen its impact in the San Diego, California, women veteran community.
The nonprofit organization’s new warehouse in North County allows it to collect and distribute diapers, baby wipes, formula, car seats, cribs, school supplies, and other essential household goods.
As the long-term effects of COVID-19 -- furloughs, school closures, and layoffs -- continue to unfold, many veterans are still struggling to make ends meet. Veteran mothers currently balancing careers and/or their own educational pursuits with homeschooling report the pandemic has been devastating to both their mental health and finances, said Jodie Grenier, CEO of FFWW.

“It is only through the support of our loyal friends, community foundations, partners, volunteers, and donors, that we have been able to quickly respond to the needs of our community and strategically pivot where necessary,” she said.
