In this episode of CBS Eye on Veterans, we celebrate Women's History Month by sharing the stories of a few women who are making history.
Woman Warriors

Capt. Kristen Griest

We talk with her about her youth, her first deployment to Afghanistan and how she earned a spot in Ranger School. She explained how grueling it was and how at one point she was a few push-ups away from never making it to the end. We also hear from another soldier who went through the course with her and he explains what a true badass she was in the field.
Lt. Colonel Lisa Jaster

Lt. Colonel Lisa Jaster was a Major in the Army Reserves when she started Ranger School. Older than most of the others, she describes how she finished the grueling training and offers lessons on the 3 Cs’ of leadership.
More than just one of the first women to complete the difficult military training, Lt Colonel Lisa Jaster, also explains how women in the military are more than just a label and why the hashtag #deletetheadjective is a mantra that can inspire us all.
