
74 years ago, the World War Two-era GI Bill created a robust American middle class, by funding college education for hundreds of thousands of veterans returning from war. In following decades, education benefits for those who served withered. A decade ago, the pendulum swung back -- with creation of the Post-9/11 GI Bill. Two veterans whose lives have been changed by the new benefit -- and the former Marine and U.
