Recently Chris White, a Marine Veteran, raised exposure for veteran suicide ... by exposing himself.

Houston’s News Channel 2 revealed that those who attended last Friday’s Houston Astro’s game got quite a show, when White jumped onto the field wearing nothing but patriotic underpants. He was subsequently chased across the outfield by police.

In an interview with News 2, White explained, “I’m not a serial streaker, but I’ve been known to take my clothes off to show love for my country.”

White described his underwear dash by saying, "I was just hopeful that I was going to get at least enough of a runway to where I wouldn't get tackled immediately …Give me a chance to get to the outfield essentially. And sure enough, I did it."

When we spoke with White, we learned that behind his brief run across the ballfield, was a sincere purpose- drawing attention to veteran suicide. "I'm a patriot first, and then a veteran.  And I want to use humor and patriotism to help veterans everywhere.  And I want to make you laugh, because if you're laughing, you're not thinking about that dark place you might be in.  If I can gear all of that towards patriotism, then that's the holy grail."

White, served in the Marine Corps from 2004-2008, and was staioned in Okinawa, Japan and Parris Island.  Like many veterans, after getting out, he built his own business, a brand called, Freedom Hard.  They offer apparel, coffee, candles, whiskey and support many causes including; Warrior Suicide Prevention Foundation, EOD Warrior Foundation, and Camp4Heroes.

The Texas native summed up his mantra in words that are both funny and heartfelt, " It's not if you freedom, it's how hard."

And videos like this prove he's working hard at promoting freedom, and underwear humor.
