At 4:30 a.m. on Monday, a shooting left two airmen dead at Grand Forks Air Force base in North Dakota. Both were assigned to the 319th Reconnaissance Wing.

The Air Force is withholding the names of the airmen pending the notification of their next of kin.

The incident was contained and there is no further danger to service members at Grand Forks Air Force Base, an Air Force press release said.

"The incident happened on base in one of our dorms," an Air Force spokesman told Military.com.

The 319th Reconnaissance Wing supports units that fly the RQ-4 Global Hawk and the MQ-9 Predator drone.
