Health screenings at Camp Humphreys in South Korea are being ramped up as a means of fighting the spread of the coronavirus.

A video produced by AFN Humphreys on Feb. 26 shows personnel conducting screenings for coronavirus at entry points around the base. Preventative measures include  temperature screenings and a questionnaire.

Commander of the United Nations Command, the Combined Forces Command, and of United States Forces Korea (UNC/CFC/USFK) Gen. Robert Abrams implemented the antivirus measures and raised the health protection risk level to “high” throughout American bases in the region, including at Camp Humphreys.

One American soldier has tested positive for the virus and is under quarantine at an Army medical hospital.

There are currently 2,022 confirmed coronavirus cases in South Korea.
