On this episode of the Connecting Vets Report, we hear from a few veterans/federal employees who didn't get paid, because of the "Border Wall Government Shutdown".
We speak with:
- Toby Hauck-Air Traffic Control Center, Chicago, Ill.
- Ed Canales-Federal Prison Guard, Northern California
- Bill Reese- TSA Employee, Ohio
- Clifton Buchanan- AFGE Bureau of Prisons, TX
Each shared some powerful comments, and as this shutdown continues they expressed they're not sure what will happen next.
Clifton Buchanan said, "Try telling your creditors that they will get paid eventually ... they're not trying to hear that!"
Ed Canales had an even more ominous summary of the current situation, "Congress has to remember that these are American families ... and if something happens, the blood is on their hands."
We also spoke with Actor/Director Max Martini and Army veteran turned Hollywood actor Luis Bordonada about the new movie Sgt. Will Garnder now playing in theaters nationwide.
Bordonada and Martini find healing together in a scene from Arlington National Cemetary.
