Every Sunday the Washington Redskins represent Washington, D.C. in burgundy and gold.
But this weekend they honor those who wear blue, green and all the camo colors with deep discounts and special events.
The annual “Salute to Service Game, Presented by USAA” will be played on Nov. 4 vs. the Atlanta Falcons. USAA has subsidized tickets for military members with valid military IDs so that they may purchase tickets as low as $40 through this link: Redskins.com/MilitaryTickets. All military members with valid military IDs will receive up to 20 percent off all food items throughout the stadium courtesy of Levy.
Fans at the game will be able to get an up close and personal look at a Black Hawk helicopter in the RedZone tailgating lot along with other military vehicles around the stadium.
Even fans at home will notice the nod to our nation’s military and veterans as the stadium walls and goal posts will be wrapped in camouflage.
Earlier this week Redskin teammates got a chance to talk about some serious "Defense" when they visited the Pentagon. They met with servicemembers and DOD staff for an unforgettable tour.
Linebacker Zach Vigil said, "We had an awesome tour ... there's so much to see and at the end, they ask if you have any questions. It was hard to even organize a rational thought, so you end up asking something like, 'where are the aliens?' But all in all, it was great to get to mingle with the military members and give back to them. Because we wouldn't be able to do what we do without their sacrifice."
