Wounded Warrior Project will host a virtual Veterans Day celebration Wednesday to encourage Americans everywhere to honor the day from home.
Honoring Our Warriors will be hosted by former NFL quarterback and current football analyst for ESPN Jesse Palmer, and includes musical performances, as well as veteran tributes during the broadcast beginning at 11:30 a.m. EST on the nonprofit’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.
“While this Veterans Day looks different than years past, we are committed to honoring our nation’s heroes and hope you will tune in to our virtual celebration,” said WWP CEO and retired Army Lt. Gen. Michael Linnington.
WWP is also encouraging participants to share their own stories and veteran tributes throughout the broadcast. The event features reunions and musical performances by Sara Evans and male a cappella group Straight No Chaser.
Palmer will also host WWP’s Courage Awards & Benefit Dinner next year.
“Throughout my time as an NFL player and broadcaster, I’ve had the opportunity to meet many active service members and veterans alike, whose integrity, valor and bravery continue to inspire me to this day,” he said.
Evans released both “Copy That,” her first solo studio album since 2017’s critically acclaimed album “Words,” along with her memoir, “Born To Fly,” this year.
