Meet the Army's 1st Filipino Battalion
The battalion grew and evolved quickly, becoming the 1st Filipino Regiment by July 1942 and growing to include a 2nd Filipino Regiment by October 1942.
In honor of Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month, Connecting Vets recognizes the service of all Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders who have served and continue to serve in the United States military.
