PHOTOS: Third Air Force base in eight months takes on damage from severe weather

Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio just became the latest in a string of Air Force installations tasked with overcoming the effects of severe weather incidents. A series of suspected tornadoes hit the Dayton, Ohio area on Monday.
While main base facilities and the runway were not damaged, roughly 150 homes were, according to base spokeswoman Marie Vanover. One of the hangars of the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force's Early Years gallery — which houses the Wright brothers' early concepts and aircraft — was also damaged.
Base personnel are currently working to assess the damage and bring the installation back to full operational status.
