An initiative to donate 10,000 American-made American flags to K-12 classrooms across all 50 states is underway as the nation nears its 250th anniversary.

The initiative was inspired by a need that Allegiance Flag Supply saw for quality American-made American flags in classrooms. The American 250 milestone presented an opportunity to address that need while honoring American craftsmanship and civic tradition.

Through a simple online request process, teachers in public, private and charter schools can receive a classroom-sized American flag at no cost. The company will manage production, shipping and fulfillment for all donated flags.

Corrie Ramdass, a second-grade teacher in Cary, North Carolina, said the flag helps students understand shared responsibility and citizenship.

“The American flag in a classroom reminds students that freedom, opportunity and democracy are values worth learning about and protecting,” she said.

According to Allegiance Flag Supply, the donation effort represents one of the largest privately funded classroom flag initiatives in the country and is part of its broader commitment to American manufacturing and education.

“Everyone has their own American story, whether they are first-generation Americans or have been here for generations,” Allegiance Flag Supply Co-founder Katie Lyon said. “We’re a flag for those who are proud of their country, no matter what it means to them.”
