
Military commissaries will begin their holiday schedule beginning Nov. 22, the Defense Commissary Agency announced.
"We encourage our military community members to check their stores’ schedules, plan their shopping trips on the installation for both commissaries and exchanges, and use your shopping benefit to save money over the holidays,” said Marine Corps Sgt. Maj. Michael R. Saucedo, senior enlisted advisor to the DeCA director, in a release.

The announcement means that many commissaries normally closed on Mondays will be open on Nov. 22, expanding available shopping hours for patrons preparing for their holiday meals.
The following stores will be closed on Nov. 22: Harrison Village, Indiana; Naval Air Station Kingsville, Texas.; and in Germany, Garmisch Army Garrison and Robinson Barracks (Stuttgart); and Hario Village Housing Area, Japan.
All commissaries will be open on the day before Thanksgiving (Nov. 24).
Most stores will also be open Monday, Dec. 20, except for Naval Air Facility El Centro, California; Yuma Proving Ground, Arizona; Robinson Barracks, Germany; Coast Guard Air Station Kodiak, Alaska; and Hario Village Housing Area, Japan.
Commissaries will be open for holiday hours (closing at 4 p.m.) on Christmas Eve (Dec. 24), except for Kelley Barracks and Panzer Kaserne (Stuttgart) in Germany. All commissaries will be open on New Year’s Eve (Dec. 31).
