There’s been another change at Fort Liberty (the former Fort Bragg) in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

During a ceremony on Feb. 28, the Fort Liberty North Post Starbucks officially became the first Licensed Military Family Store on a military installation.

“As a son of this state, and having been born at Fort Liberty, it is with great pride and honor that I announce our first on-base licensed store,” said AJ Jones II, Starbucks executive vice president and chief corporate affairs officer. “The opening of this store further affirms our tremendous partnership with Army and Air Force Service Exchange and Blue Star Families, ensuring military families have the resources to thrive within their communities.”

Starbucks Military Family Stores are located near or on major military bases. Designed to hire and honor soldiers, veterans and their families, they aim to offer a welcoming space for local communities to work, unwind and gather to build stronger communities.

The Fort Liberty location is adorned with military-inspired artwork, guidons, flags, and patriotic to reflect its status as a Military Family Store.

During the ceremony, Jones was presented with a certificate from Blue Star Families’ CEO, Kathy Roth-Douquet, in recognition of being the first company to sign onto Blue Star Families’ Do Your Part Campaign.
