With July 4th just around the corner, are you wondering which states have the most red, white, and blue pride?
Personal finance website WalletHub recently released its list of 2021’s Most Patriotic States in America.
According to the survey, Montana was the most popular state, followed by Alaska, Maryland, Vermont, and New Hampshire.
The site compared states across 13 key indicators of patriotism. Data included the state’s military enlistees and veterans to the share of adults who voted in the 2020 presidential election to AmeriCorps volunteers per capita
The survey found that politically conservative Red States are the most patriotic. Alaska has the most veterans per 1,000 civilian adults, 137, which is 2.7 times more than in New York, the state with the fewest at 51.
Utah had the highest volunteer rate, 51 percent, which is 2.2 times higher than in Florida, the state with the lowest at 22.80 percent.
New Jersey has the highest share of adults who voted in the 2020 presidential election, 78.30 percent, which is 1.5 times higher than in Arkansas, the state with the lowest at 54 percent.
The survey named New York as the least patriotic state, with Florida, Connecticut, Michigan, and California rounding out the bottom five.
