The Purple Heart Foundation supports military veterans and their families in many ways. We talked with Stephen Ruckman and U.S. Army Reserve MSG Henika "Nika" Carroll about how their short-term financial assistance grants helped her overcome crippling debt.
Carroll also shares advice for making VA disability claims. Ruckman highlights the huge spike in the need for grant assistance and other PHF programs for mental health and service dogs.
