Check out some of this year's discounts companies are offering to active-duty military and veterans in honor of Veterans Day.

With Veterans Day quickly approaching on Tuesday, Nov. 11, knowing what restaurants and businesses offer veteran discounts is helpful.

It’s important to note, though, that most businesses offering free meals or discounts will ask for proof of service, which can include showing a driver’s license with a veteran designation, a military ID or a U.S. Uniform Services Retired ID Card.

Here is a list of some noteworthy deals and freebies offered on Veterans Day, and some throughout the month:

FOOD

·Buffalo Wild Wings- Active-duty and veterans can enjoy 10 free boneless wings and fries to dine-in, or if ordering from a Buffalo Wild Wings GO location, it is available for walk-in orders placed at the counter only.

·Cracker Barrel- Veteran and active-duty get a free Sunrise Pancake Special for dine-in only.

·Chili’s Grill and Bar- Veterans and active-duty military may have a free meal.

·Applebee’s- Veterans and active-duty military may have a free meal from a specific menu.

·Texas Roadhouse- At participating locations, veterans may dine-in or receive a free meal from a select menu or a voucher from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The vouchers are good for dine-in or carry out until May 30, 2025.

·Red Robin- Veterans and active-duty military may have a complimentary Red’s Big Tavern Burger and Bottomless Side when dining in at participating restaurants.

·Outback Steakhouse- Veterans and active-duty military receive a free Bloomin’ Onion and beverage with the purchase of an adult entrée, dine-in only.

·Starbucks- Veterans, active-duty military and their spouses are offered a free tall hot or iced coffee.

·Dunkin’ Donuts- Veterans and active-duty military may receive a free donut, but not available for orders placed through the Dunkin’ Mobile App.

·Bob Evans- Veterans and active-duty military receive a free meal from a select menu while dining-in.

·Denny’s- Veterans and active-duty military may receive a free Original Grand Slam from 5 a.m. to noon.

·Hard Rock Cafe- Veterans and active-duty military are offered a complimentary Legendary Burger. Friends and family accompanying veterans will benefit from the always-available 15% military discount.

·IHOP- Veterans and active-duty military may receive a free Red, White and Blueberry Pancake Combo from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., dine-in only at participating locations.

·Little Caesars- Veterans and active-duty military are offered a complimentary Lunch Combo, which includes four slices of the signature Detroit-style Deep Dish pizza and a 20-ounce beverage from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

·Olive Garden- Veterans and active-duty military receive a free entrée from a special menu, dine-in only.

·Red Lobster- Veterans, active-duty military and reservists may have a free Veteran’s Shrimp & Chip.

·Krispy Kreme- Veterans receive a free donut and coffee at participating locations.

·Mission BBQ- Veterans receive a free sandwich.

·Smoothie King- Receive a free smoothie from a select menu for veterans and active-duty military.

·TGI Fridays- Veterans and active-duty military receive a free meal from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. from a select menu.

·Wendy’s- Veterans and active-duty can enjoy a free Breakfast Combo, no purchase required, during breakfast hours, at participating locations.

·Uno Pizzeria & Grill- Veterans and active duty military may get a gree entrée, dine-in only.

·Qdoba- Veteran and active-duty may enjoy 50% off any full-size entrée at participating locations, dine- in only.

·Raising Cane’s- Active-duty, veteran and their spouses receive 10% off their purchase when mentioning the Hero Discount Program at the register.

·SONIC Drive-In- Get half price shakes of any size or flavor, including Classic and Master Shakes.

STORES

·Amazon- Offers a 20% discount on select items, no military ID required.

·Ashley Furniture- Veterans and active-duty may take an extra $50 off when spending $499.99+ online Nov.8-11.

·Food Lion- Active-duty, veterans and their families get a 10% by presenting their MVP card and military ID at checkout.

·Rack Room Shoes- Military personnel and their dependents get a 20% discount off their entire in-store purchase.

·Target- Veterans, active-duty military and their families are offered a 10% discount from now through Veteran’s Day. The discount can be used on two separate transactions, in store or online.

·Walgreens- From Nov. 8-11, veterans, active-duty military and their families may receive 20% off regular price eligible store items at any Walgreens or Duane Reade drugstore. Restrictions may apply.

·Publix- Veterans and active-duty military get a 10% discount on groceries in store. This excludes prescriptions, alcohol, tobacco, gift cards, lottery tickets, postage stamps, and money services.

·Office Depot and OfficeMax- Veterans, active-duty military, reserves and their dependents receive 25% off qualifying regular and sale purchases from Nov. 9-11.

·Sleep Number- Veterans, active-duty military and reserves may receive 10% off their purchase from Nov.1-11.

·Vitamin Shoppe- Veterans and active-duty military receive 25% off, in-store only.

·Khols- Active-duty military, veterans, retirees and their immediate family members receive 30% off in-store purchases Nov. 10-11 with a coupon, but cannot be used with other discounts.

·Jiffy Lube- Receive a free signature oil change.

·Vitamin Shoppe- Active-duty and veterans receive 25% off in-store only.

·Adidas- Active-duty, veterans and their families receive 30% off online and in-store, and 15% off at factory outlet stores.

·Under Armour- Receive 40% off all purchases in-store and online, but must verify through ID.me. Family members may also receive discount. Receive 10% off at an Under Armour Factory House.

·Home Depot- Veterans receive a 10% discount on all in-store purchases throughout November.

EXPERIENCES

·National Parks- The National Park Service will offer free admission to any of its sites.

·True REST Float Spa- Active-duty military, reservists and veterans may receive a free 60-minute flotation therapy session.

·Sport Clips- Veterans may receive a free haircut. The store donates $2 per veteran haircut on Veteran’s Day to the VFW’s Help a Hero Scholarship program, which runs now through Nov. 15.

·Colonial Williamsburg- Veterans, active-duty military and reserves, National Guard and their immediate dependents are offered free admission from Nov. 7-11.

·Nashville Zoo- Veterans, active-duty military and their immediate families may receive free admission on Nov. 9. Advance reservations are not required.

·North Carolina Zoo- Veterans, active-duty military and their spouses get free admission Nov. 8-14. This includes free admission for up to 3 additional accompanying guests.

·Red Roof- Veterans, active-duty military and their families receive 15% off their visit at any Red Roof Inn, Red Roof Plus+, HomeTowne Studios by Red Roof or The Red Roof Collection property when they book and stay from now through Nov. 13.

·San Antonio Zoo- Veterans, active-duty military, National Guard and Reserves get free admission through November. Up to four immediate family members can receive 50% off single day tickets on date of visit.

·Dave & Busters- Veterans get a free entrée, up to $20 and a free $10 Power Card.

·Regal- Veterans receive free tickets to attend two complimentary military film screenings- Lonesome Soldier and The Real American- at participating locations.

·Cincinnati Zoo- All members of the military may receive free admission and are allowed to purchase up to 6 half-priced admission tickets for immediate family.

·9/11 Memorial and Museum- From Nov. 7-11, veterans and active-duty military as well as Blue Gold Star families get free admission. You can reserve tickets here.

·Maryland Department of Transportation- Veterans, active-duty military, reservists and National Guardsmen may receive free transit rides on local buses, MARC trains, light rail and Metro SubwayLink.

·Red Rose Transit- The Pennsylvania-based public bus service will offer free rides for veterans.

·Paramount+- Receive 50% off any plan for the life of your subscription once verifying your military status.

·LEGOLAND- From now through Nov.30, active-duty, veterans and reserves may receive one free ticket for a single day to LEGOLAND, plus 50% off tickets for up to 6 accompanying guests.

If you’re not sure whether a business offers a Veterans Day discount, the best course of action is to check online or call and ask.
