North Texas man Trevor Reed is now back on Texas soil, having landed early Thursday morning in San Antonio where he will be examined at a military hospital.
Reed, a Marine Corps veteran, had been jailed in Russia for three years but was released yesterday in a prisoner swap involving a Russian pilot jailed in the US on drug charges.
Reed's parents in Granbury have been pushing from the beginning to have their son released.
Having her son home in time for Mother's Day is a big thrill for Paula Reed who says his release is really going "to hit us when we get to put our arms around him and hug him."
