
Four contracts totaling $647 million have been awarded by the Defense Department and the Department of Health and Human Services to purchase over-the-counter COVID-19 test kits.
A $205.2 million contract was awarded to OraSure Technologies, Inc., to buy 20.6 million test kits. Deliveries will begin in October and ordering capability will continue until September 2022.

Quidel Corp. was awarded a $284.2 million contract to purchase 25.6 million test kits. Deliveries begin in October and ordering capability will continue until September 2022.
DoD awarded a $47.8 million contract to Abbott Rapid DX North America LLC to purchase 3.8 million test kits. Deliveries will begin in October. Ordering capability will continue until September 2022.
DoD awarded a $109.8 million contract to Intrivo Holdings Corp. to purchase 10 million test kits, with deliveries to begin in and ordering capability continuing until September 2022.
The procurements were funded through the American Rescue Plan Act to supply critical medical resources to the nation.
