You’ve still got time to get a ticket to see Joe Walsh’s fourth annual VetsAid concert on Dec. 12 while you help support the veteran community.
“For the past 3 years we’ve held this glorious traveling circus in cities across the country with a day-long rock and roll festival and jobs fair to support our veterans and their families,” said Walsh.
Walsh, the legendary guitarist for the Eagles, and his musician friends typically fill up an arena, where they perform for about five hours. To date, the effort has raised $1.4 million. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the event will be virtual this year.
“Our veterans’ community already suffers from increased poverty rates, mental health issues, re-entry difficulties and personal crises in the best of times,” he said. “During this pandemic they are especially vulnerable.”
Tickets for the livestreamed event on Dec. 12 are available here.
In addition to Walsh, other performers scheduled to appear are Jon Bon Jovi, Jewel Tim McGraw and Willie Nelson.
Attendees of the virtual performance will also be treated to never-before-seen VetsAid footage from years past and hear personal stories from Walsh and some of the other musicians.
Tickets are priced from $20. Discounts are available for active duty military and veterans.
Walsh launched VetsAid on Sept. 20, 2017 with an inaugural concert at the EagleBank Arena in Fairfax, VA. The second festival event was in Tacoma, WA and the third in Houston, TX.
All net proceeds from the 2020 festival will go directly to the veterans’ services charities selected through a vetting process coordinated in tandem with the Combined Arms Institute.
