
The Virginia War Memorial recently announced a new educational and entertaining series of programs for children called “Storytime at the Memorial.”
The free programs will be held at 10:30 a.m. on the second Saturday of each month from March 8 through June 14 in the Memorial’s Russell Scott Hall.
Each program will include the reading of a children’s book by an experienced educator as well as themed craft activities. Storytime at the Memorial programs are free and open to all children and their families with a suggested age of 4 to 10 years old.

No pre-registration is required to attend and participate in Storytime at the Memorial and admission to the Virginia War Memorial and to the programs are free. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
The Virginia War Memorial is located at 621 South Belvidere Street in Richmond, VA 23220. There is free parking available in the memorial’s surface lot and underground decks.
The memorial’s exhibit halls are open Monday-Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. The memorial’s grounds are open from dawn to dusk daily.
