The Department of Veterans Affairs is helping veterans get their money right during a series of financial workshops beginning April 21.

April is Financial Literacy Month and the COVID-19 pandemic has left many Americans facing financial challenges. According to a VA blog post, many people, including veterans, have struggled to keep their families and finances healthy during a stock market downturn, widespread job insecurity or perhaps the loss of a loved one.

To help get your finances in order, VA is partnering with Prudential Pathways to offer a new series of financial wellness seminars.

The series starts Wednesday at 1 p.m. ET or 1 p.m. PT for the Budgeting and Building an Emergency Savings Fund seminar. It is designed to help participants learn new behaviors and adopt healthy financial practices, such as:

- Creating and maintaining a spending plan.

- Dealing with financial debt.

- Preparing your finances for the unexpected.

To register for the seminar click here today. The event is free of charge and all you need is access to the internet on a computer or mobile device. Be sure to also stay tuned for more information about future financial wellness seminars taking place in May and June.
