New York City's Madison Square Garden is getting set for its big re-opening since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the Foo Fighters have been tapped to play on opening night. This historic moment will mark the band ushering in the post-COVID arena rock era with MSG’s first concert in more than 460 days. The presale begins TODAY at 11AM EST. Fan club members, watch your email for the code. General on-sale begins June 11 at 10AM EST.

The Date: June 20
The Reason: Oh my God, we need this!

“We’ve been waiting for this day for over a year,” frontman Dave Grohl said in a statement announcing the show. “And Madison Square Garden is going to feel that HARD. New York, get ready for a long ass night of screaming our heads off together to 26 years of Foos.”

Another six U.S. dates have already been announced for the anniversary outing, and fans can expect even more shows to be added in the coming weeks. These are the band's first shows since the February 2021 release of their tenth studio album Medicine at Midnight.
