Saving Great Animals is a dedicated, nonprofit dog rescue organization based in the Greater Seattle area. Since 2007, we've lovingly placed more than 8,500 dogs into carefully matched, forever homes. Our mission is simple: to connect the right pet with the right family, considering lifestyle, breed, and individual needs to create lasting, happy partnerships.
With a compassionate team of five full-time staff and hundreds of devoted volunteers and fosters, we work tirelessly to save lives and lower the pet overpopulation crisis. Every dog we rescue receives proper medical care, spaying or neutering, vaccinations, and microchipping before adoption. We're committed to ensuring that no dog we rescue will ever face life in a high-kill shelter again.
Our unique trial adoption program allows families and dogs to settle in with the support of training and counsel before finalizing the adoption. Thanks to this thoughtful process, our return rates remain remarkably low, and many of our adopters become lifelong members of our community, welcoming new furry companions into their homes over the years.
At Saving Great Animals, we believe in cradle-to-grave care — maintaining relationships with our adopters and their beloved pets for years to come. Every adoption contract includes a promise: if circumstances change, the dog will always return to us for rehoming.
