Emma is proud to feature Women Owned Wednesday’s. Each Wednesday we will highlight and celebrate women in business in our community.
This week’s Women Owned Wednesday business is Alexis and Tara of Dogwood Play Park!

Looking for a place where your dog can run wild and you can kick back with a drink in hand? Welcome to Dogwood Play Park, Seattle’s original indoor/outdoor off-leash dog park and bar, celebrating 10 years of dogs, drinks, and community.
With a massive 8,000 square feet of indoor space, Dogwood is the perfect escape when the rainy season hits. Add another 10,000 outdoors for the sunny days, and you’ve got a dog paradise no matter the forecast. We have weekly breed meetups, themed parties and daily happy hour. We’ve seen shy dogs (and shy humans) come out of their shell here. It’s more than a dog park, it’s a neighborhood spot where dogs thrive and people connect.
Dogwood offers flexible options for every kind of dog owner, from monthly memberships with unlimited visits to punchcards for easy drop-ins. Our Day Stay program runs Monday through Friday, giving your dog a fun, social environment while you’re at work, and with a limited number of spots each day we ensure personalized attention and safe play.
Proudly based in Lake City, we support local orgs like Bella’s Voice, Lambert House, the Seattle Food Bank, and multiple dog rescues. In fact, we’ve partnered with many local rescues to offer a free entry once your new rescue dog settles in and is ready to join the pack.
Open to all dogs (with vax) and humans 21+. Visit our website to learn more including details about our upcoming 10 year anniversary party! We hope to see you soon!
Each week we will select one woman owned business to celebrate on air, online, and on social. If you would like to nominate your business, or someone you know, let us know here!
