According to the Daily Mail, former NFL star Dale Moss, 31, reportedly found a way to get in touch with Crawley before filming began, and they started talking. A source says that by the time filming began, they were basically already in love with each other. The insider claims that "no one else stood a chance" with the Sacramento native.
"It just became so obvious from her subsequent few dates that her heart wasn't in it and she just wasn't feeling it," said the source. "Then she said she wanted out."
A potentially separate unnamed source told Life & Style that Clare expressed to producers that "she no longer wanted to participate in the show" and at one point refused to leave her room at the La Quinta, California resort in early July.
Moss has reportedly already proposed to Crawley, according to Life & Style (via Daily Mail).
Producers were apparently 'blindsided' by this happening and had to scramble to get a new Bachelorette to step in, which is confirmed by PEOPLE to be Tayshia Adams from Colton Underwood's season and Bachelor In Paradise.
Dale Moss is a football free agent wide receiver who played college football for South Dakota State University and signed with the Green Bay Packers in 2012 as an undrafted free agent. He's also played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Chicago Bears, Carolina Panthers, and Los Angeles Kiss.
