I have an on air bit called "Mollie's Must-Haves" which airs at 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. weekdays on The End. Usually I suggest some sort of retail item like workout equipment, home decor, and the like to go waste your money one. That doesn't feel "right" to do right now, so I'm using this platform to inform you of Sacramento and NorCal black-owned businesses that need your support now and forever.

McBride Sisters is a black-owned, woman-owned, and family-owned business based in Oakland, California. Robin and Andrea were born in different parts of the globe (Robin was born in Monterey, CA and Andrea in Marlborough, NZ) but eventually met in person and discovered they shared a common bond as sisters: winemaking. Together, they've grown a company that ships to 31 states in the U.S. and is sold in select retailers like Safeway, Target, and Walmart.

Join their wine club or shop their collections online including the McBride Sisters Collection Black Girl Magic line, which includes a red blend, riesling, and rose. McBride Sisters take pride in the term "Black Girl Magic," which their website highlights was popularized by CaShawn Thompson in 2013. On their website, Robin and Andrea state that "Black Girl Magic is more than a phrase. It's a feeling. A look. A mood. A taste. Our Black Girl Magic collection is an ode to our culture and story, inspired by the magic and resilience of Black women, to be enjoyed by all."

McBride Sisters also offers a canned option called SHE CAN, an ode to their single mothers, who were the first women to teach them that "SHE CAN do anything."
