Just like most of Netflix's really good reality shows, we had to wait an entire year to finally binge watch six episodes of Dating Around season 2 on Netflix. Was it worth it? My short answer: no.
In case you haven't seen the first season or you don't remember what this show is about, I'll give you a quick synopsis. Six singles have their own episode in which they go on 5 blind dates. We get to watch everything go down and see potential love stories unfold. You'll find yourself screaming at the TV, cringing, and cooing. It's fun to be a spectator on these dates, especially if you're like me and haven't been on a date in almost a year and watch it just to feel something.
(Lol)
I'm not going to give any spoilers, but I'll share my quick thoughts on season 2:
- Season 1 was way better. Casting was better and there was more drama in season 1. Season 2 is just lacking something....I'm not quite sure what exactly it's lacking, but it just didn't do anything for me. Maybe I'm just annoyed by dating? I don't know. I wasn't that entertained.
- All but one of the outcomes will disappoint or surprise you. There is one single who ended up picking who I thought they'd pick to go on a second date with, and it was extremely obvious during their first blind date that they would "end up together" at the end (in my opinion).
- Six episodes in one season is not enough.
- My favorite episode was Ben's episode because of how awkard everything about it is. I would have run away.
