Raging Waters Sacramento Waterpark has announced the cancellation of its 2020 season.

The park made the following statement on its website this week:

"As our management has monitored the needed changes to operate within this new environment, and assessed the time and resources needed to implement those changes, it has become clear it will not be possible to open for even a shortened season this summer. This is an incredibly difficult decision to make, as we know how important sunny summer days at Raging Waters Sacramento are not just for our Guests, but also our Team Members and the community at large. We will not do anything that jeopardizes the health and safety of our community, and strongly believe taking the time to implement the needed changes and look ahead to a full 2021 season is the best path forward through this challenging situation."

The park says that 2020 Season Passes are automatically extended through the 2021 season, and are upgraded to receive perks (read more here).

Seasonal Team Members were offered job opportunities at one of Raging Waters' sister parks in Wisconsin, including transportation, housing, and training through Labor Day weekend.
