A Sacramento landmark featured in the movie Lady Bird is closing permanently.
According to CBS Sacramento, the last Thrift Town store is now permanently closed after 49 years in business. The company made the decision to close its remaining California locations in Sacramento and El Sobrante, which they announced on Wednesday.
The Sacramento Thrift Town location on El Camino Avenue was featured in Lady Bird, directed by Sacramento native Greta Gerwig. The Academy Award-nominated film features other locations around Sacramento, as well.
