UPDATE: A suspect has been arrested in connection with the shooting that occurred in Lincoln Wednesday afternoon.
According to our partners at Fox 40, 28-year-old Christopher William Douglass was arrested on two counts of attempted murder. Two people were shot and wounded, police say.
Douglass was hospitalized after being bitten by a police K-9 and will be booked into South Placer County Jail. Read more from Fox 40 here.

A shooting that occurred Wednesday afternoon in Lincoln, CA is being investigated, KCRA reports.
The Placer County Sheriff's Office tells KCRA that shots were fired around 3 p.m. in the Foskett Ranch area. Officers responded after getting a call about a man screaming for help. Upon their arrival, officers heard two more shots fired.
According to KCRA, tactical crews arrived around 4:40 p.m. Residents in the immediate area received an emergency message to shelter in place.
