A couple is gaining attention for putting names of already-invited guests on a waiting list to snag a spot on their big day.
I'm trying to decide if this is tacky and trashy, or if it's something that people will need to do in this ever-changing time we call the coronavirus pandemic. I'm pretty torn down the middle.
Shared via the Daily Mail, there's a bride-to-be who posted a notice in a Facebook Group regarding her wedding guest list. The list was organized into three different categories, with the first list of names being guaranteed entry into her big day celebration. The others were told to "keep an eye on the website" to see if a spot opens up for them to attend the wedding.
The notice also gives a major blow to single people and those who have kids.
The message read the following:
This particular wedding happens to be taking place in Australia, where they do have guest capacity restrictions set in place due to the coronavirus. I totally understand that there are many couples having to switch up their plans to accommodate local laws and health guidelines, but this seems like a very impersonal way to go about controlling the capacity. I feel like a personal phone call to each guest would have been more appropriate, even though that's a huge investment in time.
